Job summary

The Clorox Company is seeking a Plant Human Resources Manager in Amherst, VA to lead the HR function at the site. You will guide leadership on policy matters, drive talent strategy for recruiting and retention, and oversee employee engagement, pay, benefits, and leave administration.

You will manage end-to-end production and non-production recruitment, develop learning programs, ensure compliance with employment laws, and analyze workforce data to drive improvements across the plant.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of human resource management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field; master’s preferred.
• Professional certification preferred (PHR, SHRM-CP, SPHR, SHRM-SCP).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal, influencing and conflict resolution skills.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate effectively.
• Maintain integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct the HR department responsibilities.
• Advise leadership on policy matters and changes.
• Execute plant talent strategy for recruiting and retention.
• Manage end-to-end recruiting for production and non-production roles.
• Create learning and development programs for employees.
• Handle discipline and termination per policy.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
• Analyze data on hires, turnover, and absenteeism.
