The Shelly Company, a CRH company, is seeking a General Laborer to support plant operations in Ohio. Responsibilities include general labor, equipment operation, and routine maintenance, with a shift from 12:00pm to 8:00pm and potential move to a 10pm to 8am shift.

The role requires reading safety rules and manuals, basic math skills, and the ability to follow directions. Safety is emphasized, with adherence to OSHA and MSHA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Reading and interpreting documents such as safety rules and maintenance manuals.
• Basic mathematical skills are required.
• Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist the plant foreperson with daily operations and plant upkeep.
• Operate heavy equipment safely, including frontend loader and skid steer loader.
• Perform general labor, shoveling and routine maintenance as needed.
• Assist with welding and fabrication tasks when required.
• Spot safety hazards and equipment malfunctions and respond appropriately.
