Job summary

Saputo Inc. is seeking a Food Safety Manager to oversee the Plant’s Food Safety functions, coordinating through the Management Operating System (MOS). The role includes leading process improvements, coaching staff, and transferring best practices across the organization.

You will drive FSMA compliance, coordinate training with the Plant Training Coordinator, and report KPI metrics to leadership. The position emphasizes continuous improvement in product quality and process efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a science-based area and a minimum of 3 years of supervisory level experience.
• Internal candidates: a minimum of 5 years hands-on plant experience in the dairy plant or food industry operations, with at least 2 years supervisory experience.
• Practical application of FSMA and FDA guidelines for Dairy Manufacturing.
• Working knowledge of sanitation systems, techniques and procedures.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lead change and manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to select, coach, develop and retain a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead Food Safety Team and Analysis programs.
• Conduct Hazard Analysis and Preventive Controls.
• Oversee calibration, environmental swabbing and zone 1 programs.
• Inform KPI reporting to leadership.
• Coach and train staff on Food Safety initiatives.
• Drive continuous improvement in quality and process efficiency.
