Job summary

POM Wonderful is seeking a Production Operator to coordinate daily line activities and support safe, efficient production in our California facility. You will guide teammates, monitor KPIs, and ensure compliance with GMPs, quality standards, and labeling accuracy.

Responsibilities include operating ORICS, Jurans, box machines, checkweighers, and labeling systems, performing inspections, and maintaining traceability throughout the line.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of production processes and KPIs.
• Understanding of GMPs, food safety, and sanitation standards.
• Ability to operate and support troubleshooting of production equipment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to stay organized and respond to changing production needs.

Responsibilities

• Support and guide production employees to ensure safe work practices and compliance with company policies, GMPs, and food safety standards.
• Assist in executing daily production plans by verifying schedules, materials, staffing, and aligning operations to required production rates.
• Monitor and communicate KPIs including production rates, yield, downtime, and quality; support corrective actions as needed.
• Operate and support production equipment (ORICS, Jurans, box machines, checkweighers, and labeling systems) to maintain efficient line performance.
• Set up and verify coding and labeling systems (Videojet, PTI, LPN) to ensure accuracy, compliance, and product traceability.
• Perform pre- and post-operational inspections and routine quality checks on raw materials, in-process product, and finished goods to ensure GMP standards.
• Calibrate and monitor checkweigher systems and related metrics to ensure weight accuracy and minimize product loss.
• Maintain sanitation, GMP, and SSOP standards to support a clean and compliant production environment.
• Monitor and support production flow through HMI systems, identifying bottlenecks and maintaining throughput.
• Respond to equipment issues and process disruptions by making minor adjustments or escalating concerns.
• Support line coverage by coordinating breaks and lunches to maintain continuous operations.
• Ensure accurate traceability through proper labeling, lot tracking, and documentation; report non-conforming product or foreign material.
• Complete end-of-shift reporting, documenting production performance and operational issues.
