Job summary

PPG is seeking a Plant Controller for the Huntsville, AL facility to join the Operations Finance Team. You will partner with plant leadership to drive cost controls, productivity, and accurate financial reporting, with on-site work and a hybrid schedule including annual travel to Pittsburgh.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting is required.
6+ years of experience in manufacturing finance support.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Willingness to travel annually to Pittsburgh.

Responsibilities

Participate in plant meetings to provide insight on results, collect information and challenge performance.
Lead plant projects to control costs of production.
Focus on and improving productivity through analytics and cross functional projects including scrap, productivity, capacity use and addressing bottlenecks.
Push relevant information and analytics to guide local decision-making.
Provide variance analysis and full understanding of plant level results and explaining results and variances to Operations leadership and Business Unit Finance.
