Job summary

PPG Industries, Inc. is seeking a Plant Controller for the Huntsville, AL facility to support Aerospace Transparencies. You will lead performance improvements, drive cost reductions, and deliver analytics to plant leadership.

This onsite role with hybrid scheduling includes annual travel to Pittsburgh HQ and supervision of one analyst. Travel to the Pittsburgh headquarters is required at least once a year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting required.
• 6+ years of experience in finance, preferably in manufacturing.
• Prior manufacturing financial support experience required.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Willingness to travel to Pittsburgh, PA at least annually.

Responsibilities

• Participate in plant meetings to provide insight on results and challenge performance.
• Lead plant projects to control costs of production.
• Improve productivity through analytics and cross-functional projects (scrap, capacity, bottlenecks).
• Provide variance analysis and explain results to Operations leadership and Finance.
• Partner with plant teams on budgeting, forecasting, and cost-saving plans.
• Develop and execute capital spending roadmaps and post-completion analyses.
