Job summary

iRiS Recruiting Solutions seeks an Assistant Controller to lead the finance function in a fast-paced manufacturing operation. This hands-on leadership role blends financial reporting, controls, planning, cash flow management, and team development with direct exposure to plant operations.

You will maintain accurate reporting and internal controls, drive financial planning, and oversee cash flow while partnering with operations and other departments to support audits and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of post-qualification industrial accounting within manufacturing.
• Degree in accounting, business, or a related field.
• Professional accounting designation such as CMA, CGA, CA, or equivalent.
• Strong financial analysis, controls, and accounting knowledge.
• Automotive manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced plant environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial reporting, accounting records, and internal controls.
• Lead financial planning and support business planning processes.
• Oversee cash flow, AR/AP, collections, and disbursements.
• Strengthen financial systems, procedures, and operational controls.
• Partner cross-functionally with operations and other departments.
• Support audits, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coach and develop members of the finance team.
