Job summary

Tom Trese Networking LLC is seeking a Plant Controller to lead the financial operations of a complex manufacturing facility. You will partner with plant leadership to drive profitability, governance, and sound financial decision-making, while mentoring the Accounting team.

Responsibilities include monthly closing, budgeting, forecasting, standard costing, inventory controls, and capital planning, with a focus on cost reduction and process improvement in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required.
• 7–10 years of controller experience in manufacturing.
• Financial leadership in complex manufacturing operations.
• Strong background in manufacturing accounting and budgeting.
• Experience partnering with operations to improve performance.
• Excel proficiency and ERP/accounting systems experience.
• Knowledge of inventory accounting, capex, cost accounting, controls.
• Proven leadership of accounting/finance teams.
• Analytical, organized, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with leadership influence.
• High professionalism, integrity, and detail orientation.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial operations for the facility with accurate reporting.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual statements and analyses.
• Develop budgets, forecasts, and financial plans; monitor goals.
• Provide financial guidance to plant leadership for decisions.
• Analyze costs, performance, and opportunities for improvement.
• Manage costing, inventory valuation, and cost control processes.
• Oversee month-end/year-end close and compliance with policies.
• Oversee physical inventory and inventory accounting controls.
• Prepare analyses and business cases for capital investments.
• Optimize cash flow and working capital management.
• Conduct internal audits and ensure GAAP compliance.
• Mentor Accounting team and foster continuous improvement.
• Support QA, environment, and material management systems.
