Summit Polymers, a leading global supplier of automotive interior systems, seeks a Manager, Plant Finance in Kalamazoo, MI. The role oversees data preparation for financial statements, budget development, and adherence to corporate policies under FP&A leadership.

The successful candidate will direct the Finance Coordinator, ensure accurate ledgers, and partner with Plant management to interpret financial reports. Strong GAAP knowledge and manufacturing accounting experience are preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• GAAP knowledge required.
• Minimum 2 years cost accounting or manufacturing accounting experience preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Desire and ability to dig into the “story behind the numbers”.

Aufgaben

• Assures proper process of Accounts Payable.
• Directs the activity of the Finance Coordinator.
• Maintains, analyzes, and interprets General Ledger balances for accuracy.
• Gathers and substantiates information for the Plant’s budget.
• Assists the General Manager and Department Managers with understanding financial reports.
• Advises and monitors compliance with administrative policy and procedure.
• Integral part of the Plant’s managerial team.
• Understands and is the source of information pertaining to the financial use of the computer system.
• Investigates production reports by asking questions of the manufacturing staff.
• Familiar with manufacturing processes and BOM representation; completes BOM forms for changes or new products.
• Ensures accurate and timely general ledger and period-end closings.
• Assists Materials with period-end inventories and data entry.
• Prepares data for and works with auditors as required.
