Job summary

Green Thumb Industries (GTI) seeks a Plant Controller to join the Operations Finance team at our Virginia facility. You will manage the plant’s financial reporting, budgeting, and cost accounting, collaborating with plant management to drive operational excellence and financial visibility.

The role requires 8+ years in accounting with 5+ years in manufacturing operations finance, strong GAAP knowledge, and leadership.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in accounting with 5+ years in operations finance or cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.
• Mastery of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations.
• Strong communication, self-direction and integrity in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly closing of financials for facility in accordance with GAAP and Company policy.
• Prepare monthly analysis of financial results including variance/bridging analyses with facility GM and operations staff.
• Coordinate and oversee physical inventories, SOX, and audits with plant sites.
• Prepare labor utilization plan including headcount and overtime reporting.
• Lead and prepare annual budget and monthly forecasts comparing projected results to prior year and budgets.
• Coordinate evaluation of capital projects and approval process.
• Maintain fixed asset register and monthly depreciation calculations.
• Lead site level financial meetings and provide financial visibility for decision making.
• Review site performance and KPI data, analyze trends and root causes.
• Lead cross-functional process improvements to reduce costs and improve productivity.
• Provide reports to manufacturing heads to manage department expenses.
