Job summary

Plastipak Packaging, Inc. is seeking a Plant Controller in Jackson Center, OH. You will partner with site leadership to manage budgeting, forecasting, costing, and financial reporting, ensuring accurate, compliant transactions and driving improvements.

The role requires 5+ years of accounting experience, 3 years in manufacturing, and strong GAAP knowledge. SAP ERP experience is preferred, with a broad benefits package available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required.
• Minimum of 5+ years of accounting experience.
• Minimum of 3 years manufacturing experience, preferably in accounting or operations.
• Working knowledge of GAAP.
• ERP system experience, preferably SAP.

Responsibilities

• Lead the budgeting, forecasting, planning, costing, and reporting cycles for the site.
• Ensure compliance with the company’s accounting policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with Plant Leadership to develop action plans to hit targets.
• Control monthly physical inventory and valuation, and manage the perpetual inventory system.
• Identify and report negative impacts to P&L with actionable recommendations.
• Serve as site finance SME and liaison between site and Corporate Accounting.
