Job summary

PPG Industries in Cleveland, OH seeks a Plant Facilities Engineer to lead planning, maintenance, and optimization of all plant buildings and utility systems. You will coordinate capital projects, implement preventive maintenance, and ensure regulatory compliance to support safe and efficient operations.

You will work with EHS and cross-functional teams to manage budgets, source contractors, and drive continuous improvement across facilities and infrastructure at our Cleveland site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or Facilities Engineering.
• 3–7 years of facilities or plant engineering experience in manufacturing.
• Certifications such as CFM/PE/LEED are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and operation of plant buildings, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and infrastructure.
• Manage plant utility systems including compressed air, steam, water treatment, natural gas, and distribution.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute facility improvement and expansion projects from concept through commissioning.
• Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs for facility equipment.
• Source, manage, and oversee external contractors and vendors for facility-related services and projects.
• Ensure all facility operations comply with building codes, fire safety, and environmental standards.
• Partner with EHS to maintain a safe working environment and support audits and inspections.
• Develop and manage the facilities maintenance and capital budget; identify cost-saving opportunities.
