Job summary

PPG in Cleveland, OH is seeking a Process Engineer to provide engineering support to production processes at the plant. You will collaborate with technical, maintenance, planning, QA, RM procurement, and IT teams to define, initiate, and implement projects that improve safety, quality, and productivity.

Base location: Cleveland Facility. The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering and 3+ years' experience in manufacturing processes, with batch paint processing preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with focus on manufacturing processes.
• Broad understanding of engineering systems and chemical processes.
• Experience in initiating investigations and implementing corrective actions.
• Lean/6 Sigma and Toyota manufacturing principles experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support to production processes across the plant.
• Interact with operators and supervisors to define, initiate and implement improvement projects.
• Support Kaizen events and CapEx project implementation.
• Troubleshoot equipment/process issues, including potential on-call support.
• Develop standard work and assist with operator training.
• Ensure compliance with EH&S and regulatory requirements.
