Job summary

PPG in Cleveland seeks a Process Engineer to provide engineering support for production processes, collaborating with technical, maintenance, planning, QA, RM procurement, and IT to define and implement improvements focused on safety, ergonomics, quality, and productivity.

You will report to the Lead Operations Engineer / Process Engineering Manager and be based at the Cleveland Facility, driving CapEx projects, Kaizen events, root cause investigations, and operator training to optimize

Qualifications

• Broad understanding of engineering systems and chemical processes with 3+ years in manufacturing.
• Experience initiating investigations and implementing corrective actions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and self-direction.

Responsibilities

• Support EHS initiatives (CORITY GS2, PSM, audits).
• Perform process optimization and cycle time improvements including CapEx projects.
• Support design, implementation, and commissioning of large-scale CapEx projects.
• Participate in Kaizen events and process improvements.
• Troubleshoot equipment/process issues; some on-call support.
• Execute root cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Develop process templates and change requests; maintain formulas.
• Develop standard work and assist with operator training.
• Support day-to-day operations with maintenance for equipment issues.
