Job summary

PPG is seeking a Plant Facilities Engineer to plan, manage, and maintain all plant infrastructure and utility systems, ensuring safe, efficient operations and compliance with regulatory and company standards.

You will oversee facilities and utilities, coordinate capital projects from concept to commissioning, develop preventive maintenance programs, manage contractors, and partner with EHS to support audits, budgeting, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of facilities/plant engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or Facilities Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Facilities Management: Oversee maintenance and operation of plant buildings, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and infrastructure.
• Utilities Management: Manage compressed air, steam, water treatment, natural gas, and electrical distribution.
• Capital Projects: Plan, coordinate, and execute facility improvement and expansion projects from concept through commissioning.
• Preventive Maintenance: Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs for facility equipment and systems.
• Contractor Management: Source and oversee external contractors and vendors for facility services and projects.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure operations comply with local, state, federal regulations including building codes and environmental standards.
• EHS Support: Partner with EHS to maintain a safe working environment and support audits and inspections.
• Budget Management: Develop and manage facilities maintenance and capital budgets; identify cost-saving opportunities.
