Job summary

ECOLAB is seeking a Senior Environmental Specialist in Garyville, LA, to support the plant's environmental program and report to the SH&E Manager. The role involves ensuring compliance with LDEQ and EPA regulations, managing annual emissions inventory and waste reports, and assisting with monitoring and testing programs.

The position emphasizes leading environmental improvement projects, interfacing with regulatory agencies, and supporting Total Productive Maintenance and Responsible Care

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering, environmental engineering, environmental science or related field.
• 5 years of relevant environmental compliance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience applying environmental regulations (RCRA, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act) and working with EPA/LDEQ.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Garyville plant procedures and programs comply with LDEQ and EPA environmental regulations.
• Manage regulatory compliance tasks (Annual Air Emissions Inventory and Annual Air Compliance report).
• Assist with monitoring, sampling, waste shipment tracking and testing to demonstrate regulatory compliance.
