Job summary

Cabot Corporation seeks an Environmental Specialist to join the Ville Platte, LA facility onsite. The role focuses on air, water and waste programs, regulatory compliance, Title V permitting, and environmental auditing.

You will support SH&E programs and provide technical guidance to plant leadership. You will work with cross-functional teams to implement environmental projects, monitor regulatory changes, and ensure safety and sustainability across operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related is preferred.
• 3+ years' related environmental experience.
• Working knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations and compliance requirements.
• Experience with environmental programs involving air, water, and waste.
• Experience supporting environmental permitting and regulatory reporting; Title V air permitting experience is a plus.
• Experience with environmental inspections, audits, compliance monitoring, data collection, and recordkeeping.
• Familiarity with emissions monitoring, testing and/or CEMS is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform moderately complex technical work to support environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives across plant operations.
• Provide technical analysis and guidance to department, plant, and site leadership on environmental matters.
• Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining environmental programs, systems, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations (air, waste, water).
• Support departments through training, guidance, and implementation of environmental procedures and regulatory changes.
