Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., a Fortune 500 leader in industrial gases, seeks a Senior Environmental Engineer in Gonzales, Louisiana. The role coordinates environmental compliance across multiple facilities, focusing on permitting, reporting, and program development in air, water, waste, and related media.

You will lead technical efforts with operations teams, drive continuous improvement, and support compliance audits and regulatory interactions. Travel about 25% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an Engineering or Science discipline; Chemical Engineering preferred.
• Approximately 5-7 years of environmental regulatory compliance experience across multiple media.
• Experience with Louisiana environmental permitting and compliance programs.

Responsabilités

• Maintain and improve environmental compliance programs across air, water, waste, and related regulatory programs.
• Develop and improve compliance tools, monitoring, sampling, and testing programs.
• Train facility personnel on permit requirements and regulatory obligations.
• Prepare and submit environmental compliance reports to agencies.
• Coordinate permit applications and negotiations with regulatory bodies.
• Lead or participate in root cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Support environmental audits and regulatory inspections.
• Travel approx. 25% to support regional facilities.
