Job summary

3M is seeking a Plant Engineering Supervisor in Cordova, IL to lead maintenance teams, coordinate contractor resources, and drive equipment reliability and safe operations across the facility.

You will plan and execute preventative maintenance, mentor technicians, manage projects and contractors, and ensure compliance with NFPA and OSHA standards while supporting 3M’s global innovation efforts. Travel up to 10% may be required, and relocation assistance may be available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher with 3+ years manufacturing experience.
• Alternate: High School Diploma with 6+ years manufacturing experience.
• Experience coaching and developing technicians.
• Experience with project management and electrical or mechanical manufacturing operations.
• Experience managing contractors.
• Understanding of Environmental and Regulatory Compliance, NFPA, and OSHA standards.
• CRL / maintenance certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a safe, healthy and sustainable workplace.
• Provide daily supervision and coordination of Maintenance employees and contractor resources.
• Plans and executes preventative maintenance activities on the facility and its equipment.
• Identify and support business efforts to drive improvement in equipment reliability.
• Provide technical guidance to site personnel.
• Impact through cost reduction programs, equipment effectiveness, and safety of work environment.
• Communicate project or program status and results to stakeholders.
