Job summary

3M is seeking a Plant Engineering Supervisor in Cordova, IL to oversee safety, maintenance, and contractor coordination. You will plan preventative maintenance and drive reliability improvements across facilities, while guiding site personnel and collaborating with global teams.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or higher with 3+ years in manufacturing, or a high school diploma with 6+ years, plus strong project management and regulatory knowledge. Relocation and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher with 3+ years in a manufacturing environment (private/public/government/military).
• High School Diploma or higher with 6+ years in a manufacturing environment.
• Engineering/related technical background preferred; 5+ years maintenance/reliability experience; experience coaching technicians and managing contractors.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a safe, healthy and sustainable workplace.
• Provide daily supervision and coordination of Contractor resources in support of business partners.
• Plan and execute preventative maintenance activities on the facility and its equipment.
• Identify and support efforts to improve equipment reliability.
• Provide technical guidance to site personnel.
• Impact cost reduction programs, equipment effectiveness and safety.
• Communicate project status and results to stakeholders.
