Job summary

Clorox is seeking a Plant Engineering Manager for the Hidden Valley Ranch plant in Wheeling, IL. You will lead engineering activities to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations, manage capital investments and budgets, and provide technical leadership across facility infrastructure and maintenance.

As a Plant Leadership Team member, you will collaborate with Operations to improve manufacturing performance, develop technical capabilities, and plan long-term plant needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• 10+ years of experience in plant-based engineering roles.
• 2+ years of experience leading Engineering teams in a manufacturing plant setting.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment, including exposure to rotating equipment, elevated work areas, temperature variations, and other industrial operating conditions.
• Experience with structured manufacturing improvement methodologies and tools.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

• Provide Technical & Facility Leadership across engineering resources, budgets, and site projects.
• Lead engineering standards, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain plant Master Site Plan and Capital Project alignment.
• Mentor plant Engineering personnel and support performance reviews.
• Drive equipment standardization and documentation updates.
