Job summary

The Clorox Company is seeking a Manufacturing Project Engineer to lead capital projects and improvements across two Wheeling, IL facilities. You will manage scope, budgets, and timelines while coordinating with operations, maintenance, safety, and finance teams.

You will apply data-driven methodologies, drive reliability initiatives, and support plant expansions. A Bachelor's in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and 5+ years of capital project experience are preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
5+ years of experience leading major capital projects in manufacturing.
Experience with SAP, AutoCAD, Inventor, and EWM.
Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

Lead capital projects from inception through feasibility, justification, detailed engineering, installation, and commissioning.
Drive equipment and systems efficiency improvements and cost savings.
Manage contractors and external engineering firms to meet scope, timelines, and budgets.
Support plant capacity expansions, layout changes, and process scale-ups.
Apply Six Sigma, RCA, and FMEA to diagnose issues and implement corrective actions.
Plan preventive and predictive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability.
