Valmont Industries, Inc. is seeking a Plant Engineer in Houston to drive site continuous improvement projects from design through implementation. You will support reliability by providing technical guidance to maintenance staff and help update standard work instructions and procedures.

Occasional travel is required to support global initiatives. Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering, strong communication skills, and hands-on Lean experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or related field.
• Strong oral and written communication skills to clearly and concisely present information to management.
• Experience with Lean methodology and continuous improvement principles.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for manufacturing activities including plant layout and process mapping.
• Conduct asset investigations and justify new equipment or alternate processes.
• Lead capital appropriation requests for new equipment or process improvements.
• Support Lean projects and continuous improvement initiatives at the site.
• Develop and maintain work instructions and documentation for production processes.
