Airgas Houston is seeking a Project Engineer (Open) to coordinate design, budgeting and execution of industrial gas-focused projects. You will develop P&IDs, lay-outs, and equipment specs while aligning with stakeholders including HSE, operations, and engineering.

This role emphasizes safety, cost control, and timely delivery. The ideal candidate holds a technical BS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with 2+ years in gas/chemical project management, and strong MS Office skills for proposal

Competenze

• Technical BS degree required; BS Chemical or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of engineering and project management experience in a gas or chemical manufacturing business.
• Familiarity with ANSI, ASME, NFPA and CGA codes and standards.
• Self-starter able to move projects with minimal direction from manager.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Mansioni

• Coordinate project scope with management, HSE, plant operations and engineering.
• Develop P&ID and system mechanical lay-out; prepare equipment specs and cost estimates.
• Prepare engineering packages for bids and vendor pricing; procure equipment.
• Ensure project execution on time, within budget and in compliance with procedures.
• Provide engineering support to operations and external vendors.
