Job summary

The Judge Group, INC. is seeking a Plant Engineer to lead engineering and maintenance functions in the Bloomsburg, PA area.

The role directs engineering leadership at the plant, oversees capital projects, maintains records, and ensures compliance with GMP, EPA, and OSHA standards. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree (Engineering preferred) and 5+ years in the food industry, with strong analytical, strategic thinking, and leadership abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Engineering degree preferred.
• 5+ years’ experience in the food industry.
• Knowledge of GMP, EPA and OSHA requirements.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
• Proven leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering leadership at the plant level.
• Supervise and coach direct reports.
• Complete direct reports performance reviews and provide feedback.
• Manage capital projects for the plant.
• Recommend equipment and processing system modifications and replacements.
• Remain up to date on plant technology.
• Develop, implement, and control approved budgets.
• Create and maintain engineering records including equipment records and manuals, drawing and diagrams, inspections reports and any legal documents.
• Establish and administer an effective predictive/preventative maintenance program.
• Oversee all processes for maintenance and engineering associates.
• Lead inclusive of plant, division, and company goals.
• Work closely with outside organizations such as OSHA, EPA, FDA.
