The Judge Group is currently searching for a Project Engineer for a great company located in the Luray, VA area.

Base Pay Range

$90,000.00/yr - $112,000.00/yr

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Identify, plan, and execute capital projects as necessary.
• Lead technical project teams, providing direction and leadership.
• Conduct tests to improve efficiencies based on the manufacturing schedule.
• Prepare and distribute project descriptions and timelines.
• Develop project plans and allocate resources to meet milestones within time, quality, and budget constraints.
• Review product design proposals and work with management to set project objectives.
• Determine project responsibilities by defining various phases and elements, calculating time frames, and sequencing stages.
• Serve as a subject matter expert during the commissioning of new lines and assist workers in understanding their duties.
• Support the plant by defining improved process flows and continuous improvement efforts.
• Understand the mechanics of production line machines to design and optimize new and existing product formats and line efficiency.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing issues on the production line and provide short and long-term solutions with the maintenance and production team.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or a related field (e.g., design management, project management, capital investment management) or 5 to 8 years of experience in a similar role.
• Previous manufacturing experience, preferably in the food industry.
• Consistent and reliable attendance.
• Skills in material flows, continuous improvement practices, and process analysis.
