Job summary

Diageo in Hope Hull, AL is hiring a Plant Electromechanical Maintenance Specialist to lead maintenance tasks that keep production running safely. You will execute preventive maintenance, troubleshoot complex electromechanical issues, and work with operators to build autonomous maintenance and continuous improvement practices.

You will participate in SICs, support capital projects, and ensure SAP documentation accuracy while upholding Diageo safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship or mechanical/electrical degree preferred.
• 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Higher National Certificate (or equivalent) within FMCG preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) to the defined frequency and record results in SAP.
• Partner with operators to build autonomous maintenance capability and optimize machine setups.
• Troubleshoot electromechanical issues using root cause methodologies (5 Whys, RCPS).
• Participate in Short Interval Control (SIC) and update documentation.
• Support capital installs—commissioning, testing, and early equipment management input.
• Review RCM activities weekly and apply MMS principles, tools, and techniques.
• Collaborate with TLS and Operators to strengthen asset care and problem-solving capability.
