Job summary

CRH plc in Branford, FL seeks an Electrical Superintendent to coordinate engineering activities for new and revised processes, and to provide electrical engineering support across the plant. The role focuses on resource coordination, maintenance programs, budgeting, and long-term electrical planning.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s in engineering (electrical preferred), 7+ years of relevant experience, strong project management skills, and proven leadership in an industrial setting with PLC

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field; Electrical Engineering preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in similar positions.
• Experience in project management with contractors and salespeople.
• Professional engineering environment experience.
• Office and field experience in design and construction with PLC usage.
• Strong English communication and listening skills.
• Decision making, negotiation, and independent judgment abilities.
• Knowledge of engineering principles and regulatory environment.
• Experience with cement and/or lime manufacturing processes is a plus.
• Ability to use and troubleshoot equipment including PLCs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate electrical and automation engineering resources across plant departments.
• Manage plant electrical maintenance programs for optimal performance and downtime reduction.
• Identify electrical needs, propose capital projects, and own accountability.
• Prepare and manage electrical maintenance budget with monthly updates.
• Develop long-term electrical plans for preventative and predictive measures.
• Oversee installation of new equipment and alterations to buildings/structures.
• Lead plant meetings on operations, safety, environment, and special projects.
• Champion corporate electrical/automation standards and policies.
• Provide leadership for direct reports, including feedback and development.
• Mentor and develop team for growth and succession planning.
