Job summary

Metal Technologies seeks an Environmental, Health & Safety professional to lead plant EHS management and drive compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations. The role includes coordinating training, inspections, and incident response to protect workers and the environment.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in safety programs in heavy industry and can work independently while collaborating with plant staff across departments.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated problem solving, critical thinking, and project management skills.
• Excellent understanding of state/federal EHS regulations and compliance.
• Ability to identify and facilitate process improvements and incident learning.

Responsibilities

• Lead plant EHS management.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations and MTI programs.
• Perform workplace assessments and propose risk-reducing improvements.
• Deliver training to meet safety and environmental requirements.
• Manage medical surveillance and qualification processes.
• Conduct stormwater and non-contact cooling water inspections and recordkeeping.
• Adhere to site environmental requirements (SWPPP, SPCC, EMS).
• Serve as point of contact for routine plant environmental issues.
• Manage response to spills and other emergencies.
• Foster trusting, safe relationships with managers, supervisors, and hourly workforce.
