Job summary

Bpp Mfg is seeking a Plant Manager / Director of Assembly to lead the Butcher Power Products assembly facility in California. This role oversees the assembly and wiring of Low Voltage Electrical Distribution Equipment, aligning manufacturing engineering, quality, and supply chain with the production plan and ISO 9001 quality standards.

You will drive continuous improvement, lead a multi-disciplinary team, and manage budgeting and performance metrics to ensure on-time delivery and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive manufacturing operations experience with 5+ years in leadership.
• Direct assembly or electrical-build leadership required.
• Strong knowledge of assembly workmanship standards, production planning, and quality systems.
• Proficiency with Lean/Six Sigma and ERP/MRP systems, with P&L or operating-budget ownership.

Responsibilities

• Oversee assembly and wiring of low voltage electrical distribution equipment, setting standards and priorities.
• Set operational direction across assembly and wiring design functions and align manufacturing engineering, quality, and supply chain.
• Direct production planning and capacity strategy to ensure on-time throughput.
• Enforce ISO 9001 quality standards and drive first-pass yield improvements.
• Develop department leaders and workforce capability, including succession planning.
