Job summary

SkyWater Search Partners is seeking a Plant Manager for our client’s local assembly operation in Minnesota. The role leads a stable workforce and focuses on Lean maturity, process flow, labor efficiency and lead times.

You will drive daily performance across safety, quality, delivery, and cost while building capability in supervision. The ideal candidate has prior plant ownership experience in assembly/electromechanical products, ERP/MRP familiarity (NetSuite) and a servant leadership approach

Job description

We are working with a growing, PE Backed manufacturer to find a Plant Manager for its local assembly operation.

This is not a turnaround.The new leader will inherit a stable workforce and culture, with an opportunity to further improve Lean maturity, process flow, labor efficiency and lead times.

Responsibilities:

• Lead daily plant performance across safety, quality, delivery, cost and employee engagement.
• Develop supervisors, leads and employees while creating clear accountability.
• Improve throughput, standard work, labor efficiency and customer lead times.
• Strengthen the use of plant metrics, visual management and daily problem-solving.
• Partner with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, HR and Planning.
• Manage staffing, operating budgets, headcount and capital-resource needs.
• Coordinate closely with the other sites in the business to align material availability, production schedules and capacity.

Background:

• Plant Manager or experienced Operations/Manufacturing Manager ready for full-site ownership.
• Leadership of other leaders (supervisor, manager level) and at least 50 total reports.
• Experience in assembly, electronics, electromechanical products, PCBA, medical device, aerospace/defense or similar
• Demonstrated Lean skill, with examples of leading through different stages of the journey.
• ERP/MRP and formal quality-management system experience (NetSuite)
• Servant leadership style with a strong track record of developing people.
