Job summary

TerraPower in Bellevue, WA seeks a Manager for Plant Design Products to lead a cross-functional team delivering integrated nuclear island and plant-level design deliverables with emphasis on architecture, leadership, and multi-disciplinary alignment.

The role requires 10+ years in nuclear engineering, 2+ years in supervision, strong NRC/DOE licensing knowledge, PRA/safety analysis experience, and familiarity with quality programs such as ASME NQA-1 or ISO 9001. Relocation support is possible.

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering (nuclear, mechanical, chemical, or electrical).
• 10+ years of nuclear engineering experience; 2+ years supervision or mentoring.
• Experience in multidiscipline leadership and plant architecture.
• Knowledge of NRC/DOE regulations and risk-informed licensing.
• Experience with PRA, safety analysis, and high-temperature systems.
• ASME NQA-1 or ISO 9001 familiarity and capability in quality programs.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal direction.

Responsibilities

• Leads a geographically diverse team and collaborates on integrated design deliverables.
• Leads development and communication of plant architecture and interfaces.
• Oversees plant design integration deliverables in collaboration with engineering teams.
• Provides leadership, mentoring, and hiring support for the team.
• Facilitates major plant systems decisions and risk-informed evaluations.
• Ensures alignment with Licensing Modernization Process and defense-in-depth.
