Job summary

TerraPower seeks a Design Control Lead in Bellevue, WA to develop and maintain design-control processes, providing oversight to engineering teams, suppliers, and contractors to ensure traceability, verification, and change control.

The role supports audits, training, and coordination across Configuration Management, Quality Assurance, Licensing, and Digital Engineering to advance nuclear safety and innovative medical isotope initiatives.

Qualifications

• Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Extensive experience (10–15 years) in design/control activities in a highly regulated setting.
• Proven ability to interpret regulatory and quality requirements and translate them into practical processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and maintenance of design-control processes and performance metrics.
• Provide oversight of contractors and ensure traceability across design inputs to records.
• Coordinate audits, reviews, and governance forums for design decisions and changes.
• Support qualification programs and establish design-control training and mentoring.
