Job summary

TerraPower seeks a Lead Engineer, Design Control to develop and maintain design-control processes, ensuring traceability, verification, and change control across engineering programs. You will guide suppliers, contractors, and internal teams, aligning with QA, licensing, and digital engineering.

The role requires a senior engineer with extensive experience in nuclear design control under regulatory frameworks and a proven record of leading audits, reviews, and multidisciplinary governance.

Qualifications

• Requires a nuclear/regulated industry background and experience implementing design-control
• Strong ability to lead audits, root-cause analyses, and corrective actions
• Excellent technical writing, communication, and mentoring skills

Responsibilities

• Lead development and maintenance of design-control processes and metrics.
• Provide technical oversight of contractors and design-control activities.
• Define traceability between design inputs and verification records.
• Oversee change-control, risk assessment, and document governance.
• Support audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews.
• Mentor engineers on design-control practices and procedures
