Job summary

Insight Global seeks a Plant Controls Engineer to enhance and sustain plant automation, electrical, and control systems. The role includes troubleshooting equipment, advancing PLC/HMI and robotic systems, and performing preventive maintenance to boost reliability and quality.

Qualified candidates will have a BS in Electrical Engineering, 5+ years of programming, and strong experience with plant SCADA and industrial networks. Proficiency in AutoCAD and RSLogix is preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar field.
Minimum 5+ years programming experience.
Plant SCADA systems experience.
Industrial control networks experience (Ethernet/IP, ControlNet, DeviceNet, DH+, etc.).
MS Office; strong MS- Excel; some VB preferred.
AutoCAD / AutoCAD LT or equivalent drafting; ability to read electrical and pneumatic prints.

Responsibilities

Improve and maintain plant automation, electrical, and control systems.
Troubleshoot equipment and support safe, efficient manufacturing operations.
Develop and enhance PLC/HMI and robotic systems.
Perform preventive maintenance to improve reliability, productivity, and quality.
Implement solutions to improve equipment reliability and process performance.
