Job summary

Amcor is seeking an experienced finance professional to manage the plant’s accounting, forecasting, and annual budget. You will partner with Plant Management, Operations, Product Line Management and Sales to improve financial performance.

You will own internal controls, provide weekly forecasts, and drive ad-hoc analyses to support strategic investments and cost management across locations. A strong accounting background and ERP experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.
• 5+ years of financial analysis, inventory control, and cost accounting.
• ERP experience; JD Edwards is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and data analysis.
• Must be able to communicate effectively.
• Attention to quality and good attendance record required.
• Dynamic thinker with the ability to analyze problems.
• Must be able to analyze problems, conduct root cause analysis, and deliver effective solutions.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Safety, GMP, Food Safety, and Plant Policies.
• Ensure internal financial controls and SOX compliance.
• Plant expert on all aspects of the P&L and Balance Sheet.
• Provide weekly forecasts and manage monthly closing.
• Responsible for annual budget preparation.
• Ensure accounting records reflect the plant’s operating performance and assets.
• Hands-on involvement with operations to optimize efficiencies and EBIT.
• Capital tracking and adherence to policies and budget.
• Provide ad-hoc analysis on various areas of the P&L.
• Work closely with all departments of the plant.
• Model a safe workplace; demonstrate accountability and ownership actions.
• Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner with data-driven insights.
