Job summary

DFA seeks a seasoned finance leader to oversee all financial aspects for the assigned location in Massachusetts, including analysis, forecasts, budgeting, and reporting. Ensure compliance with DFA policies and seamless cooperation with enterprise-wide departments.

You will manage month-end close, cash, inventory, KPI monitoring, and team leadership, delivering insightful commentary and cost-saving opportunities while maintaining internal controls and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in finance or accounting.
• Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• CPA or CMA certification preferred; other licenses may be required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain adequate accounting system records, ensure timely completion of standard procedures, and enhance controls.
• Prepare annual budget, financial reports, cost reports, forecasts, and milk reporting.
• Direct monthly general ledger closing, manage journal entries, and variance analyses.
• Prepare and distribute periodic financial analyses with insights on issues and opportunities.
• Provide routine or ad hoc analyses and communicate variances to leadership.
• Collaborate with leadership to identify opportunities and implement cost-saving process changes.
• Ensure cash position, protect assets, and comply with regulatory requirements.
• Ensure accuracy of inventory, AR/AP, fixed assets, and internal controls.
• Lead KPI monitoring and participate in cost-savings initiatives; manage staff if applicable.
• Oversee recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation, and performance management.
