Job summary

Dairy-Farmers-of-America, Inc. seeks a strategic Finance Director to oversee all financial functions for the Minnesota location. You will manage budgeting, forecasts, reporting, and variance analysis while ensuring compliance with DFA policies across departments.

Lead close processes, drive cost savings, and develop actionable insights for leadership, with a focus on cash management and internal controls to protect assets and maximize profitability.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in business, accounting, finance or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in finance or accounting.
• CPA or CMA certification preferred; other certifications may be required during course of employment.
• Leadership and/or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all financial aspects for assigned location, including analysis, forecasts, budgeting and reporting.
• Coordinate compliance with DFA policies and collaborate with enterprise-wide departments.
• Lead monthly close, journal entries, and variance analyses (P/L, cash, inventory).
• Prepare and distribute periodic financial analyses and commentaries detailing issues, opportunities and action plans.
• Provide routine or ad hoc analyses and communicate with leadership on variances.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and drive cost savings.
