Job summary

Weekday AI's client in Seward, Nebraska seeks a seasoned finance leader to build the accounting and finance function for a brand-new beverage/dairy manufacturing facility. You will shape internal controls, cost accounting, and financial reporting while partnering with executive leadership and plant operations to scale the business.

You will drive ERP implementation, develop meaningful KPIs, and mentor a small accounting team as the site grows into a high-performing operation.

Qualifications

3+ years in a finance leadership role within manufacturing (beverage, dairy, or food).
Experience building accounting/finance function and processes from the ground up.
Strong partnership with operations and executive leadership.

Responsibilities

Lead the accounting function for the new facility.
Oversee financial reporting, month-end close, GL reconciliations and internal controls.
Manage inventory/cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash management.
Drive ERP implementation and scalable financial processes.
Develop operational reporting and KPIs to improve decision‑making.
Partner with plant leadership to enhance financial visibility and performance.
Lead and mentor a small accounting/administrative team.
