Job Description

Role Overview

This role is the on-site finance leader responsible for driving profitability and capital discipline. Key responsibilities include managing all financial activities of the plant, ensuring timely and accurate reporting in compliance with Amcor policies, and supporting effective business decision-making through financial analysis. The position involves leadership within the plant's management team and direct partnership with the plant manager. The plant generates $100 million in annual sales and employs 130 staff.

What You Will Do

1. Safety Leadership: Promote a safety-first environment where safety is everyone's priority.
2. Finance Business Partner:
   • Collaborate with the Plant GM and management team to influence and challenge performance.
   • Manage Plant P&L, inventory, budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis.
   • Identify trends and recommend performance improvements.
   • Utilize profitability tools and provide strategic guidance.
   • Support decision-making, including capital investments.
3. Financial Management:
   • Lead key projects and investment requests.
   • Validate and communicate finance KPIs.
   • Analyze sales, costs, and manufacturing KPIs.
   • Perform balance sheet analysis and manage account reconciliations.
   • Leverage cross-functional resources for support.
4. Compliance & Human Capital:
   • Ensure compliance with DOA, internal controls, policies, and SOX.
   • Lead human capital processes like goal setting, performance reviews, and development.
   • Support financial training and demonstrate Amcor values.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 7+ years in manufacturing finance; 5+ years in leadership roles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; SAP knowledge is a plus.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
