Base pay range

$40.00/hr - $50.00/hr

We are seeking an Interim Controller for a global non-profit organization! Reporting to the VP of Finance, the Interim Controller will ensure all financial accounting functions are completed accurately, prepare financial reports, and manage compliance reporting. • Ensure the accuracy and timely completion of day-to-day activities of accounts payable, staff expense reports, cash disbursements, collections, payroll, fixed asset records, etc.
• Safeguard assets and assure accurate and timely recording of all transactions by implementing internal controls.
• Monitor restricted grants and government contracts and maintain clear reporting, tracking, and reconciliation of each.
• Reconcile accrued liability and asset ledgers, inter-company, and subsidiary transactions through internal financial statements.
• Support financial analysis tools to evaluate new initiatives or special projects, programs, capital expenditures, products costing, etc..
• Guide team to manage bookkeeping, recordkeeping, and internal controls including maintaining policies and procedures documentation. Keep organization in solid standing with GAAP and governing authorities.
• Coordinate the annual audit and 990
• Oversee grants accounting for the organization

Qualifications

• 5+ years progressive accounting experience, with an academic background in financial accounting, preferably within a nonprofit
• Advanced knowledge of Excel
• Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, JDE, Salesforce)
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong project management and organizational skills
