Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America is seeking a senior finance leader to oversee all financial functions for the Belvidere location. You will manage budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and variance analysis, partnering with leadership to drive cost savings and process improvements.

The role requires an undergraduate degree in a related field, 8+ years in finance/accounting, and strong GAAP knowledge. CPA/CMA preferred; leadership experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in business, accounting, finance, or related curriculum (or equivalent).
• 8+ years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or related discipline.
• Leadership attributes and supervisory experience preferred.
• CPA or CMA certification preferred; other licenses may be required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all financial aspects for the assigned location, including analysis, forecasts, budgeting, and reporting.
• Maintain accounting records, close periods timely, analyze variances, and enhance controls.
• Prepare annual budget, financial reports, forecasts, regulatory reports, and monthly milk reporting.
• Direct monthly general ledger closing, journal entries, and variance analyses.
• Distribute plant/area/group financial analyses with insightful commentaries.
• Provide routine or ad hoc analysis and communicate variances to leadership.
• Identify opportunities with leadership to improve processes and reduce costs.
• Ensure cash position, protect assets, and comply with regulatory requirements.
• Oversee inventory, A/R, A/P, fixed assets, and internal controls.
• Lead KPI monitoring and participate in cost-savings initiatives.
• Manage employees including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, and performance.
