Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Plant Controller in Seguin, TX for a permanent on-site role focused on financial leadership of manufacturing operations. You will manage budgeting, reporting, forecasting, cost control, and internal controls to support strategic growth.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in manufacturing finance, with a Bachelor’s in Finance/Accounting and preferably MBA/CMA/CPA, plus leadership and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a similar role within the Manufacturing industry.

Job Details:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Plant Controller to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. This is a permanent position that will play a pivotal role in the financial management of our manufacturing operations. The Plant Controller will be responsible for all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a keen eye for detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all financial operations of the plant, including the development and management of budgets, financial reports, and forecasts.
2. Lead the financial planning and strategic analysis, providing insights and recommendations to both short-term and long-term growth plans of the company.
3. Drive cost management initiatives across the plant, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
4. Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts to support strategic initiatives.
5. Conduct detailed financial analysis to help improve our operational efficiency.
6. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements and professional standards.
7. Provide leadership in strengthening internal communications with staff at all levels throughout the organization; create and promote a positive and supportive work environment.
8. Lead the process improvement initiatives, driving efficiencies and improvements in the financial reporting process.
9. Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. An MBA or relevant certification (e.g., CMA, CPA) is preferred.
2. 5+ years of experience in a similar role within the Manufacturing industry.
3. Strong knowledge of financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, strategic planning, accounting, financial planning, business strategy, cost management, financial modeling, business planning, process improvement, and performance management.
4. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to drive change.
5. Excellent analytical and strategic planning skills.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
7. Proficiency in financial management software and MS Office Suite.
8. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
9. Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
10. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
11. Strong business acumen, with a solid understanding of manufacturing processes and cost accounting.
12. Experience with financial and accounting regulations and standards.
