Job summary

Darling Ingredients is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee daily Plant Accounting operations and supervise the accounting staff. The role includes reviewing journal entries, processing wires, and managing monthly closes within Oracle, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field with 5+ years in accounting and a track record of supervisory experience. GAAP knowledge and strong analytical skills are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 5+ years of accounting experience; supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of GAAP preferred.
• Strong organizational, analytical and problem solving skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines with high accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the daily operations relating to Plant Accounting.
• Review and approve team's journal entries, cash wires and RM processing.
• Monthly close responsibilities including Plant PLs, COGS and expense accruals in Oracle.
• Assist in requests from internal and external auditors.
• Review reconciliations to ensure proper preparation and follow-up on unusual items.
• Make and implement recommendations to improve accounting processes & procedures, working with IT.
• Manage scheduled Oracle processes.
• Other duties as assigned.
