Job summary

Darigold, Inc. seeks an experienced Plant Accountant to join the Operations Accounting team in Washington.

The role reports to the Operations Accounting Manager and collaborates with plant operations and corporate accounting to support all phases of plant accounting, cost accounting and reporting. You will partner with plant management to drive performance, support budgeting/forecasting, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining GAAP compliance and timely month-end

Qualifications

BA/BS in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience.
4-6 years of experience in an accounting or financial analyst role.
Prior experience in a food or beverage production facility is preferred.
Milk accounting experience is ideal.
Inventory accounting experience is beneficial.
Experience with Oracle, Kronos, Oracle BI, SAP Business Objects and other business software is preferred.
Possesses experience in running timely, accurate month-end closings including inventory reconciliation, adjustments and accruals.

Responsibilities

General Accounting: maintain integrity of plant G/L and balance sheet and apply GAAP; lead inventory accounting and liaise with corporate accounting teams.
Cost Accounting: close monthly; prepare entries, reconciliations and reports; manage inventory valuation and standards.
