The position requires active Florida Certifications as a Plans Examiner (1 & 2 Family Dwelling, Building, Electrical, Mechanical, or Plumbing) and entails working standard business hours at the Government Center in Viera.

Salary ranges from biweekly $2,192.00 to $2,411.20, with annual offers around $68,691.20 plus potential

Qualifications

• Minimum of one valid active State of Florida Standard Certification as a Plans Examiner (1 & 2 Family Dwelling, Building, Electrical, Mechanical, or Plumbing).
• Certification must be maintained in active status during employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled technical work examining plans and documents for permitting compliance with the Florida Building Code and related laws.
• Review submitted building construction plans to ensure adherence to state and local regulations.
