Qualifications

• ICC Building Plans Examiner certification required or eligible.
• South Carolina license eligibility for Building Plans Examiner at time of employment.
• Over four years of experience as a building inspector, plans examiner, or related construction field.

Responsibilities

• Conduct complete plan reviews for construction projects and apply adopted codes accurately.
• Perform onsite inspections to verify design, materials, and compliance during construction.
• Provide clear feedback to contractors and customers on code interpretations and requirements.
• Create and maintain plan review data in the data management system with accuracy.
• Participate in development meetings and assist with plan routing and permit processes.
