Job summary

Texas Oncology is seeking a PET/CT Technologist to join the team at Plano East Cancer Center. The role supports diagnostic PET imaging, image archiving, and data collection, with opportunities at Level 1, 2, or Senior based on experience.

The ideal candidate will hold Nuclear Medicine Technology or Radiologic Technology credentials with PET-CT certification and CNMT/ARRT(N) where applicable, plus licensure. We offer LTIP potential and comprehensive benefits for career growth.

Qualifications

  • Associates or Bachelors degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or Radiologic Technology from AMA accredited program with PET-CT certification.
  • Minimum three to five years experience in nuclear medicine and/or PET experience preferred.
  • General knowledge of patient scheduling and billing systems.
  • CNMT and/or ARRT(N) certification and state licensure where applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Performs diagnostic PET imaging procedures, including injection of radiopharmaceutical and IV contrast, protocol setup, patient positioning, and image acquisition.
  • Assists in procedure scheduling and front office functions to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Ensures accuracy of patient demographic information, report distribution and patient files.
  • Assists with collection of clinical data for follow-up and development of teaching materials.
  • Conducts daily quality control measures to monitor scanner performance and safety standards.
  • Reports malfunctions and/or need for service to the appropriate facility.
  • Manages patient data and films: printing, archiving, retrieval, and transfers.
  • Understands IV contrast contraindications and reactions and procedures to follow.
  • Orders necessary office, medical, printing and archiving media.
