Job summary

The City of Goldsboro is seeking a Planning Services Division Manager to guide current and long-range planning, zoning, environmental code enforcement, historic preservation, MPO/Transportation, and the Brownfields Program. Reporting to the Development Services Director, this position oversees division staff and directs programs within city policies.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in City and Regional Planning or related discipline.
Five to seven years of public sector planning or related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Responsibilities

Supervises and evaluates assigned staff; directs work and performance appraisals.
Coordinates work assignments and scheduling; monitors progress and provides direction.
Develops strategic goals for the division and administers policies and procedures.
Oversees amendments to the Unified Development Ordinance (UDO).
Serves as liaison to Planning Commission, Historic Preservation Commission, TRC, MPO, and other boards.
Prepares reports and presentations for the Development Services Director and City leadership.
