Job summary

dsm-firmenich in Newark, NJ seeks a Planning & Logistics Manager to drive supply chain excellence. You will oversee production planning, materials management, inventory control, logistics, and order fulfillment while partnering with S&OP teams to align operations with business goals.

This leadership role offers visibility to influence strategic decisions, improve performance, and foster a culture focused on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction across health, nutrition and beauty sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations management, or supply chain preferred.
• 4-year degree in Logistics / Supply Chain or Business required.
• 7 years’ supply chain experience with minimum 2 years in supervision.
• Strong communication, organizational, analytical and cross-functional skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee production planning, materials management, inventory control, logistics, and order fulfillment.
• Coordinate scheduling and product delivery with external customers; lead S&OP collaboration.
• Prepare inventory and logistics reports; manage air-shipment performance; ensure on-time delivery.
• Monitor raw materials for quality; ensure regulatory compliance for distribution.
• Collaborate with Production and Quality Control to resolve scheduling and material issues.
• Manage Port Newark logistics, lead external warehouse activities and budget expenditures.
